Carl Jung
Founder of analytical psychology.
Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), son of a Protestant clergyman, was a Swiss psychiatrist.
At a very early age, Jung began a quest to understand human behavior, beginning with his parents and teachers.
Sigmund Freud was a great influence in his life. Initially their interests were similar but Jung
took a different route and founded analytical psychology, which studies the motivations underlying human behavior.
Jung's psychological types and other theories later inspired others (including Myers-Briggs)
who have continued along the path he created.
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding
of ourselves." - Carl Jung
The MyPersonality.info Personality Test is based on the work of Carl Jung.
